What are the dimensions of the wooden plaques?

The thickness depend on the border, background, and logos. An exact thickness cannot be given. Estimated thickness is 0.5 in.
How does the whole process work?
The process works in stages. The first stage is designing the plaque. The design process is free and does not cost any money. To see the design steps see the next question.
Once the plaque has been designed it can be viewed. A slider control is provided to allow you to see a 3D view of the plaque.
After viewing the plaque you can place an order to buy it by pressing the buy plaque button. Pressing this buttom will take you to PayPal for the money transaction. You donot have to be a Paypal member to make the payment. We prefer to use Paypal as they are a secure site with many fraud prevention tools. Credit card payments made with Mastercard, VISA, Discovery and American Express are accepted.
Once the payment is succesfull we will email you the invoice with details of the plaque you have ordered. At this time your plaque will be placed in production. We will ship you the unfinished plaque within seven days.
How do I design a plaque?
It is very easy to design plaques. We have created step-by-step instructions on how to do it and a video that shows the entire
design process. The design process has six steps.
Step 2: Select the border of the plaque. You can click on the border icon and see its preview in detail. Once the border has been selected, go to the next step by pressing the NEXT button. If you press the PREV you can modify the selection for the plaque shape.
Step 3: Select the background of the plaque. You can click on the background icon and see its preview in detail. Once the background has been selected, go to the next step by pressing the NEXT button. If you press the PREV you can modify the selection for the plaque border.
Step 4: Select the logo for the plaque. You can click on the logo icon and see its preview in detail. Once the logo has been selected, go to the next step by pressing the NEXT button. You cannot upload your own logo. Contact us to make your custom plaque with your own logo. If you press the PREV you can modify the selection for the plaque background.
Step 5: Input the text of the plaque. you can input two lines of text. Input the first line of text. Select its font and size with the pull down menus. To input the 2nd line of text make the selection. The second line can be input in the same manner as the first. Once the text has been input press the UPDATE button to preview the text. Go to the next step to build a 3D model of the plaque by pressing the NEXT button. If you press the PREV you can modify the selection for the plaque logo.
Step 6: View the plaque in 3D. The view are generated bytaking 3D pictures of the plaques you designed. You can click on the slider to rotate the plaque and see its preview in detail. Buy the plaque by pressing the BUY PLAQUE button.
What are the steps to design and buy a plaque?
First you design the sign. Second you view the sign in 3D. The model of the sign is displayed in the window.
The sign can be rotated by moving the cursor at the bottom of the window. To move the cursor bring the mouse on top of the
cursor press the left mouse button and move the mouse to the left or right.
Third, after viewing the plaque press the buy button at the bottom right. This button will take you to a user screen.
Here you provide us with your address and email. This information will be used to send you the plaque and the invoice. On
this page you will select one of two methods of payment, namely, Paypal or credit card. Finally, once the payment is received
successfully we will make the plaque and courier it to you.
Can I order more than one plaque per order?
At this time you can only order one plaque per order. For multiple plaques multiple orders can be placed.
Do you offer painted/laminated plaques?
We only offer unfinished plaques and tool paths to machine your plaques. Finishing a plaque is an art. We believe our customers can do it more justice than us.
Can I upload my own plaque shapes?
At the current time you cannot upload your own plaque shapes. We are always looking to improve our system. Please send your suggestions to info@beaverplaques.com
I have my own CNC router. Can you send me the tool-path?
Yes, we also offer selling tool-paths. When you are done designing your custom plaque you will have the option of purchasing the plaque or the tool-path.
Can you ship outside of North America?
No, we can only ship to the United States and Canada.
What is the return policy?
The plaque is designed and previewed by the customer before ordering. If the customer does not like the plaque they have to ship the plaque back. The shipping cost for the return plaque and the shipping for the new plaque will have to be paid for the customer.
What if the product is damaged?
If the product is damaged during shipping we will replace it.
I live in Ontario. Can I come to pick up the machined plaque?
You can come pick the plaque up. You will still have to pay for the handling fee, but you will save money on the shipping.
I have my own company logo. How can I put that logo on plaque?
At the current time you cannot upload your own company. We are always looking to improve our system. Please send your suggestions to info@beaverplaques.com
How long do I have to wait after placing the order?
The plaque is machined within 2 days. After that it will be shipped by FedEx
I have wooden logs at home. Can you use these logs to machine the plaque?
This is a possibility. You must contact us so that we can tell you the requirements.
Can I use my own font for the text on the plaque?
No, you can only use the fonts on our system.
Can the plaques be machined in materials other than wood?
They can be machined on other materials. You have to contact us to arrange this.

We currently offer 7 different background designs. They are:

Why is there a limitation on the font size?
The plaques are machined using cutter that is 1/8" inch in diameter. If the fonts are too small the finer details
will not be shown. The smallest font has been set to guarantee that the lettering is machine properly.

Can I cancel a plaque order?
You can send us and email if you choose to cancel an order. If your sign has not been sent to the CNC machine we will
refund you 75% of your money.
